I wanted to take a moment and thank you for the job done by Ted and Kelvin in painting the interior of our home. Not only is the craftsmanship flawless, I was truly amazed by the clean-up done each day. In the four days that I came home from work, the only signs that Ted and Kelvin had been working were the beautifully painted walls and the smell of fresh paint. There was no mess whatsoever. Our experience with this painting crew was a very positive one. I would not hesitate to have them work in our home again. Please feel free to use us as a reference for these gentlemen. Just a quick note to say what a nice job Tom and Kelvin did with the painting and power washing of our house. They were wonderful to work with and went beyond the "call of duty" by cleaning the gutter over the garage so I would not be tempted to climb the ladder and do it myself! We were having a party the night they finished and guests said they didn't want to come up the front steps because they were so clean and white - they didn't want to get them dirty!
A week ago your paint crew completed the job of painting most of the interior of our house. I should say "transforming" our house. We are still amazed with the end result of a fabulous job. Our home sparkles with bright walls and trim. In addition, we have to say that we are equally awed with those who worked so hard during the week here...We appreciate the professional and efficient manner in which they performed their tasks, working well together and being ever concerned with our needs and opinions. I still cannot believe that there was such care taken to protect our funriture and carpet, and to clean up our living space every day. I want to extend my special thank you to all who pitched in to help me through a real emergency. Our beach house, which you did such a beautiful job of adding onto and remodeling was struck by lightning Aug 6th. My wife and I were at our home in Tennessee and only learned of the problem through caring neighbors on Sunday the 8th. I called DuMont immediately and was assured that they would give it their full attention. Circumstances here in Tennessee made it nearly impossible for us to come to SC. Greg got involved and Mike went to the house and began to analyze the problems facing them. He took charge of the project and his frequent caring and professional calls were most reassuring. He knew the house well from having been a part of our work done in the addition and remodeling 10 years ago. We have also used DuMont for our maintenance ever since. There was a hole in the roof, outside light fixtures knocked off, air conditioning damaged, TV Cable service disrupted, smoke alarms going off, questions with the burglar alarm. Myarid things to check and repair. Mike dealt with all of them, calling on others to deal with issues outside DuMont's scope of things and supervising their work. The call from Mike on the evening of the 9th to say all had been completed was simply more than I could have ever expected. He even met with my insurance adjuster and went over the scope of the damages with him. I have enjoyed dealing with the folks at DuMont's and have recommended them to many of my friends at the beach. It is comforting to have a capable and professional team of people that I can call on and know they will do their best to solve my problems. In the past we have had them help us with so many things that are a part of life in the harsh beach environment. Living part of the time in TN and part in SC it is good to have you as my quality craftsmen and friends. I am extremely happy with the table-height bench we had you add to our kitchen. It has been a real pleasure to have a work station that is accessible from a wheelchair and to get back to my hobby of baking bread. But the real thrill is the roll-in shower. Words can't adequately tell you how happy I am with that-to be able to shower and to look at something which is absolutely beautiful. I am amazed every time I look at the tile work. Except for the grab bars, this looks like a high-end shower that would be found in an expensive spa. We are grateful that you were able to "save" the existing floor and wall paper. When we show it to friends, they think we've re-done the whole room. Beyond the physical results, DuMont Brothers was easy to work with from start to finish. Their crews were timely, thorough, cordial and respectful. They went above and beyond in attention to detail; even protecting the floors they walked on and cleaning up every night so that we could use the rooms that were under construction. I enthusiastically recommend DuMont Brothers to everyone who has a need for any home inprovement project.

Last week, I moved into a condo that had been rented as a vacation rental. There were several things that needed to be repaired. My landlord lives out of town. So he contacted DuMont Brothers, Inc. I am so thankful that he did. First, I received a phone call from Linda to arrange a time that was convenient for me. I appreciated that DuMont Brothers was willing to work around my schedule. Then, instead of sending one person to take care of everything, DuMont Brothers sent multiple repair men who specialized in each repair needed. DuMont Brothers Inc. had excellent workers who were very pleasant to work with, they know what they're doing, the general contractors and the different people who come by present everything very upfront, everything is very clear with change orders so there are no surprises, and they just do a very good job. They're probably the most excellent contractors on Pawleys Island. They have an excellent reputation and do a great job. They work very quickly. They get a good crew in there to get the job done right and they get out. I highly recommend DuMont Brothers Inc.
The entire project went extremely well from start to finish. This is a 2nd home for us which means any remodeling would be done long distance so it was important to select a contractor we could trust. Greg DuMont provided the original quote of work and made a lot of very useful suggestions. Our original scope of work was bigger than our budget so we prioritized our projects which Greg completely understood. We waited until December to make our final decision and Greg was willing to work with our completion date as long as I was responsive with tile selections, etc. Linda in the office was my main contact. She was a pleasure to work with and was very helpful in making sure my tile, fixture and carpet selections were in stock. She was extremely responsive and often emailed or called with periodic updates. We were not present during any of the construction work so the updates were appreciated. We visited the property right after the project completion and were blown away by the outcome. The refinished floors gleamed and looked wonderful. The french doors are a vast improvement over the sliding doors. And, the new walk-in shower was spectacular. During the project, I got a couple of calls from the plumber, etc. Everyone I spoke with at DuMont was very professional and explained what they were doing and why. While we were visiting, I noticed a couple of maintenance issues on items that weren't in the scope of the work. Greg and Tim, the projects supervisor, literally had people at the house the next day to get those new issues fixed. We still have some items left from our original wish list and once we have the budget for those, we are calling DuMont Brothers!

We were down in Pawleys last weekend and were able to see the work that was done. The power washing job you did was amazing. I don't think the house has ever looked so good! First time since we have owned it that the driveway looked like concrete! The painting that was done on the interior was very well done and we are extremely pleased with the appearance of the apartment. I am writing this Thank You and Recommendation because in this day and age it has been my experience that a lot of companies, especially in the construction business, quickly make promises they don't keep.
My circumstances were, as you know, difficult because I had been dealing with an unethical contractor. He cheated me out of money and left my condo torn up. I lost 8 months of income, not to mention my faith in the trade.
Greg Dumont came and gave me an estimate, told me what needed to be done. He listened to what my needs were and my concerns. He explained the process and much to my surprise guided me so as not to take or waste my money on unnecessary expenditures. He did the job on time, on budget and the quality of work was above average.
I want to thank him, his office staff, who kept me up to date on what was going to be done and when. This was very reassuring as I live out of state.

I just wanted to say "Thanks!" for all of the good work DuMont continues to do! Thank goodness we had our roof repaired prior to all of the heavy, heavy rains that SC received in early October. We have been checking the ceiling every time it rains and never saw any sign of a leak, so the repairs worked - knock on wood.
We will continue to use DuMont for any upcoming projects or repairs.

I had ideas for renovation of my house. They helped me to see some things would not work or be practical and bring other ideas to completion. They are skilled, honest and professional. The only thing is that they are so busy that you might have to wait or them. It is worth the wait.
I am writing to compliment the job done by Michael Hazelwood and Lucas Montgomery in replacing the nine deteriorated piles at the Gray Lady. I was there during the entire project and can testify first hand that they really knew what they were doing, worked well as a team and were extremely diligent in how they carried out a very strenuous operation.
I appreciated the opportunity to meet you when you delivered the container for the debris and recall that when I complimented their work and said they were " nice guys" to boot, you made the tongue-in-cheek comment that " nice guys finish last". Let me say that nice guys like Michael and Lucas will assure more work for Dumont Brothers from satisfied customers.
Let me also express gratitude to Steve Repola for identifying the problem with the piles. I will be happy to serve as a reference for the high quality work performed on this project.

The kitchen is truly a remarkable improvement over the original and Jane and all the kids were very impressed over the Easter weekend so we are quite happy and grateful for the fine work.
We are extremely pleased with the work you have done on our house in Litchfield. We have received high quality and fair service from the beginning of the project to the end and I especially want to compliment those who actually painted and repaired Beachfever. The men assigned to our job worked hard, were efficient and as clean as possible in a job this size. They were pleasant to work with in extreme heat and helpful in every way and our family wants them to know they were appreciated (I hope you can look up the exact people who were assigned to us). We were especially happy with the extra little things such as painting the picnic table and working hard to finish up when we had renters coming in. It's never fun to spend money on the essentials of keeping up a beach house, but you all have made it as palatable as possible.

"In the past ten years I have used the DuMont Brothers in three phases of renovations. The vision that I had for my home came after innumerable hours of designing in my mind and on paper. In the first phase there were replacement of roof, staining the house, laying hardwood floors in the bedrooms, and renovation of a new kitchen. Three to four years later, in the second phase there was a remodeling of the main bath, installation of a hot water on demand system, new steps to the front of house which allowed for safer access, a new deck on the back of the house and a complete renovation of the utility room into butler's pantry with a custom-built stained-glass door. In the last and most recent phase there were a renovation of the second bath, an addition of a large living area, painting of every room in the house and a painting of and solution to the securing of shutters on the front porch.
I mention all of these to indicate the many skills needed and then preformed by the DuMont Brothers employees. In all renovations there are bumps and problems that occur. There were in all three phases of the renovation at my home. This company of artisans listened to my wants and vision and developed and preformed the strategies needed to accomplish my dreams. To a person no one was satisfied until they they had produced the desired results at the highest possible point of excellence in their respective arts.
Beyond the respect that I have fir their level of expertise, is the genuine deep regard that I have for them as true and descent people. Their care and attention to detail went beyond professionalism. They understood that I was trying to create a true home and that they would not be satisfied until that had happened.
